Jean-Michel Bardez et Jean-Marc Chouvel ont en commun une passion pour tout ce qui circule d'un art à l'autre, de la composition à la peinture ou à la poésie. C'est une passion qu'ils transmettent comme interprètes, comme pédagogues et même comme éditeurs (Collection Transversales).
À partir d'un intérêt commun particulièrement marqué pour l'harmonie, ils nous donnent à entendre dans cette série d'improvisations un aperçu de leur jardin secret. Au fil de l'inspiration, ils traversent des paysages qui trouvent leur originalité dans la superposition, grâce à la technologie numérique, de couches décalés au quart ou au sixième de ton, et même, parfois, dans un jeu avec des nuances de hauteurs encore plus fines, toujours à la recherche du plus grand plaisir de l'écoute.
Jean-Michel Bardez and Jean-Marc Chouvel share a passion for everything that circulates from one art to another, be it composing, painting, or poetry. They impart this passion when they perform, when they teach, and even when they edit (Collection Transversales).
With their marked interest in harmony, in this series of improvisations they give us a glimpse into their secret garden. Following their inspiration, they cross landscapes whose originality lies in the superposition, thanks to the digital technology, of layers shifted by a quarter or a sixth of a tone, and even playing at times with much finer nuances of pitch, always seeking to provide the greatest listening pleasure.
